Negative prefixes.
illogical (нелогичный), illiterate (неграмотный).
irregular (нерегулярный), irresistible (неотразимый).
impossible (невероятный), impatient (нетерпеливый).
inaccessible (недоступный), inactive (неактивный);
префикс часто употребляется перед гласными, реже перед чистым –a: unusual (необычный), unopened (неоткрытый), unauthorized (несанкционированный), unattainable (недосягаемый), uneven (неровный), uninteresting (неинтересный);
disagreeable (неприятный), disapproved (неодобренный), disorganized (неорганизованный).
№13. Negative prefixes.
Write the negative forms of the following words usingin, un, im, dis, il, ir.
Attractive - … Able - …
Capable - … Comfortable -…
Fair - …
Formal -… Popular - …
Honest - … Friendly - …
Kind - … Possible - …
Legal - … Lucky -…
Polite - … Suitable -…
Relevant - … Regular - …
Usual - …
hour - час day - день year - год |
early morning – раннее утро |
early in the morning – раноутром |
He gave me a friendlysmile. – |
Hespokeveryfriendly.
а) Если прилагательное оканчивается на –y, от она меняется на i: easyлегкий – easilyлегко, noisyшумный – noisilyшумно;
He is a hardworker. |
He workshard. |
I could hardlyunderstand him. |
well - хороший fast - быстрый, крепкий long - долгий, длинный little - маленький much - много daily - ежедневный |
well хорошо fast быстро, крепко long долго, давно little мало much очень daily ежедневно |

Dear Kate
I`m completely sorry I haven`t written you for so long. Thank you very much for your letter. I have been sitting my exams for the whole month.
I`d like to tell you that I`m going to visit you this summer. But I don`t know yet in what month. I`ll send you a telegram. Frankly speaking I am missing you very much. I often remember our volleyball games on the beach and parties with Jane, Mike and Rob. I think we`ll have an opportunity to climb the mountain this time.
Hope to see you very soon.
Anywhere, how are your exams? What are your parents going to do in summer? I fancy read your news.
Lots of love,Anna

Nowadays most young people are light-minded. They want to spend more time with their friends having fun and nothing to do. At the same time, older people, particular their parents and their teachers, think that they should care about their future life.
It is obviously that youth is a time when you should enjoy yourself as much you can. Many young people make new friends, they like making parties and going to nightclubs together. They try not to think about the future. Freedom is the main thing for them. They don’t want to be responsible for their actions. As for myself I also sometimes forget my social duties because I need to relax after hard work at school.
However. it is nondoubtedly true that young people should pay more attention to their future. We live in a competitive world and if you want to be successful you should prepare for your career beforehand. Example, it is a good idea to make a plan for the future. It will help you to motivate and make the right decision.
Sum it up, I think two attitudes are right. Young peoples should enjoy themselve while they can but they should also be serious about the future.

Dear Kate
Thank you very much for your letter. I`m very sorry I haven`t written you for so long.
Anyway, how are your exams? What are your parents going to do in summer? I fancy reading your news.
Hope to see you very soon.
Lots of love,
Anna

Nowadays most young people are light-minded. They want to spend more time with their friends having fun and nothing to do. At the same time, older people, particularly their parents and their teachers, think that they should care about their future life.
It is obvious that youth is a time when you should enjoy yourself as much as you can. Many young people make new friends, they like making parties and going to nightclubs together. They try not to think about the future. Freedom is the main thing for them. They don’t want to be responsible for their actions. As for me I also sometimes forget my social duties because I need to relax after hard work at school.
However. it is undoubtedly true that young people should pay more attention to their future. We live in a competitive world and if you want to be successful you should prepare for your career beforehand. For example, it is a good idea to make a plan for the future. It will help you to motivate and make the right decision.
To sum it up, I think both attitudes are right. Young people should enjoy themselves while they can but they should also be serious about the future.

Texts
I like reading books about the life of the people. Especially about people who lived in the past like Winston Churchill. Of course, I wouldn’t mind reading about people living today such as well-known politicians, actors and actresses.
I like to read about love and adventure. These books are usually full of passions and have interesting story lines and unusual endings that make me forget the problems of everyday life. I hate reading poetry especially modern poetry.
It’s really very interesting to read about mysterious and supernatural events. I’m particularly captivated by characters who miss important clues and conduct investigations. I think it’s more interesting then reading dull stories about usual things and everyday life.
Newspapers and magazines! They are packed with the latest news, information, fashion and facts. The only way to be in the know of everything is to read newspapers and magazines. There is also a lot of information about TV and sports.
Comics! They are brilliant. It’s really fun to follow the story line of characters! Yes, I love them even more than fairy tales and rhymes. And I love to look at the colourful illustrations too.
