Ход урока


Warm up.

1. Hello, boys and girls! How are you? Do you like todays weather? Do you like winter? Is it your favourite season? What’s your favourite season and why.

Try to guess what is the theme of our lesson? ( watch a short film with a song about holidays )

So the theme of the lesson is ON HOLIDAY

Introducing new words and new expressions.

2. There are different types of holidays. Please match the word combination and the definition. ( students work in groups )

СRUIS - a journey by sea, visiting different places, especially as a holiday

BEACH HOLIDAY - A period of time spent resting away from home

SAFARI - A trip to see or hunt wild animals, especially in east or southern Africa

BACKPACKING HOLIDAY - To travel on holiday carrying your equipment and clothes in a backpack

CAMPING HOLIDAY - Living in a tent on holiday

ACTIVITY HOLIDAY - A holiday on which you spent your time doing a particular activity such as walking, canoeing....

3. Now we are going to listen to Sarah talking about her holiday. Listen and circle the correct answers.

Sarah usually goes on a camping/ beach holiday.

This summer, she wants to go on an activity holiday/ a cruise.

4. And what about you? Write about your plans.
